The Soft Side of Tami Dee
January 25, 2007 | Interviews
Hi Everyone, we’re back with Tami Dee for more insight on a writer’s life.
ST: Tami, please describe your writing space.
TD: I have a spare bedroom which is my office. It was my youngest daughter’s room, and is painted in soft colors that we picked out and painted together, so I have good memories and a very nice, peaceful feeling when I am in here. (she just left the nest and we really miss her—oh, why do they have to grow up and get their own lives?)
ST: I know what you mean, but there comes a time. Unfortunately. Tami, what’s your favorite part of writing?
TD: That would be the writing itself.
ST: What do you absolutely hate about being an author?
TD: When I find out, I will let you know. Lol.
ST: Your website is gorgeous. I recommend everyone cruise over and check it out. How did you decide on the content and design?
TD: I have to laugh again. I think that I redesign my web site every couple of months or so. I like my site to reflect me, and I am always changing and growing…
ST: It does reflect you, classy and professional.
TD: Thanks, Sloane, I appreciate your comments and being interviewed.
That’s all we have time for today. Tomorrow is out last day with Tami. Please come back and join us as we hear about Tami’s future plans.
Happy Writing!
Sloane
Tami~ Do you listen to music while you’re writing? Personally, I can’t because after a while I’m singing (badly) along instead of working. But a lot of writers do.
If so, what kind of music do you listen to? Does it change depending on the book you’re working on?
On January 26th, 2007 at 8:14 amHi Sarah, it’s weird, I don’t listen to music while I am writing, but I blast the radio when I am driving and for some reason, I come up with a lot of dialog at that time. I love pretty much all music, but I can’t stand Rap.
